Google as Nostradamus

Technology changes us.

You know you have a problem when you want to know the upcoming weather because you're excited to see how much snow might happen this winter, and when weather.com doesn't help (since it can only see as far as the next 10 days, of course), you think "well, I'll google it. google will be able to tell me when it will snow some day in the future." only you don't mean that google will be able to tell you the weather. you mean that you will google "snow" and a bunch of links will pop up reading "January 7, 2006, dusting" "December 28, 2005, 2 feet, all businesses closed, including your work, Jess" "April 8, 2006: You liked the first "April Fool's Blizzard?? Well, SUCK ON THIS! 49 inches of snow in 3 hours." etc.

It's like when my friend used to scream "undo! undo!" when she had made a life mistake, and hit a phantom "control-Z" in the air.

Maybe someone will get me a Farmer's Almanac for Hanukah this year . . .
