How to help from far away (from various bulletin boards)

Craigslist New Orleans has a good link for housing offers, volunteer opportunities, people seeking lost relatives, etc. Some people are offering housing and airfare to their place, as far away as Seattle.

http://www.moveon.org lists housing offers, a link to donate to American's Food Bank, etc.

The katrina blogspot lists a small community seeking aid, many other resources. Makes note that TFA, Technology for all, is working to set up internet access in Houston Astrodome. They need many more
computers, etc. "TFA will need additional computers (Pentium 4 or faster), software, volunteers, $'s and organizational capacity to pull this off. Thanks in advance for your assistance." This will be invaluable in helping victims connect to resources offered.

The Red Cross is asking for donations. If you have already received disaster relief training, you can go to New Orleans to help.

Network For Good offers quite extensive information on various disaster relief organizations/charities if you would like to donate, and also info on volunteer oppportunities.
